Nia ARIS 2 Hydropower Project
The project has a potential capacity of 1.0 MW with expected annual generation of 4,601,628kWh and annual revenue of ~ ₱32,211,396. Projected annual CO2 reduction/ avoided of the project is ~1,991t.
In 2022, PNOC RC successfully conducted the public bidding for “Selection of a Joint Venture (JV) Partner for the 1.0 MW ARIS Sta. 3+611 Hydropower Project”. The PNOC RC Board approved the award last 7 December 2022.
Technical Services to Private RE Developers
PNOC RC signed MOA with two (2) private RE developers for 100MWp Solar Farm and 100MWe Wind Power Projects in Cagayan on 18 March 2022 and on 27 April 2022, respectively.
PNOC RC will assist in the pre-development activities of the projects which includes but not limited to:
- Securing of Service Contract;
- Securing of relevant permits and licenses;
- Application and processing of interconnection agreement;
- Negotiation of power supply agreement; and
- Ensure compliance with Service Contract obligations and requirements of the DOE and other concerned regulatory agencies
Technical Services to Government Agencies
HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
PNOC RC and the House of Representatives (HRep) signed a MOA in May 2021. PNOC RC will act as its technical partner in HREP’s projects as follows:
- 200kWp Rooftop Solar Project for South Wing Annex Building
- Acquisition of E-vehicles and charging stations.
The services to HRep includes: (1) the preparation of public bidding documents for the project’s two phases (Infra for solar installation and goods for e-vehicle), (2) assistance to HRep’s technical evaluation during the entirety of the bidding process, (3) owner’s engineer in the supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of the solar rooftop, and (4) operation and maintenance of the installation for three (3) years.
The solar rooftop project was tested and commissioned on 27 March 2022. The project was inaugurated last May 18, 2022. Handover coordination with HRep was held last 25 August 2022 as PNOC RC starts its three-year operation and maintenance.
DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY - GOVERNMENT ENERGY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
The Department of Energy and PNOC RC signed a MOA on 18 March 2022 for PNOC RC to conduct the energy audits of 375 LGUs and installation of 3 solar demonstration projects. This is pursuant to RA 11285 or the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act and its IRR.
The DOE and PNOC RC agreed to extend the MOA from 31 December 2022 to 30 June 2023.
