PNOC Renewables Corporation proudly welcomes Sec. Alfonso G. Cusi as the ex-officio Chairman of its Board of Directors. He assumed the Chairmanship by virtue of Executive Order 39 signed by President Rodrigo Duterte which took effect on 5 September 2017. The said Executive Order has directed the DOE Secretary to serve as the ex-officio Chairman of both PNOC Exploration Corporation and PNOC Renewables Corporation – subsidiaries of Philippine National Oil Corporation.

During the recent PNOC RC Regular Board Meeting held last 22 September 2017, now former Chairperson Evelyn M. Paulino officially turned over the Chairmanship to Sec. Alfonso G. Cusi. In her short message, she had nothing but admiration as she acknowledged the whole Management as well as her co-directors for the opportunity to share her knowledge and service to contribute for the advancement of the Company. 

Continuing with the board agenda, the newest member of the Board, in addressing both the management and his co-directors, stated that “Renewables is the name of the game”. He proceeded to provide the Company’s direction in the coming years reinforcing PNOC RC’s role as the corporate arm of the Department of Energy (DOE) in the development and implementation of renewable energy as well as energy efficiency and conservation initiatives to government agencies. 

With this development, both the Management and the Board are more than fervent to work in unity as PNOC RC continues to deliver its mandate and pursue its aspiration to reach greater heights and be of better service to the nation.
