The Philippine National Oil Corporation – Renewables Corporation together with the Department of Energy leads in the inauguration of the 100kW Solar Rooftop Project at the Department of Science and Technology, Taguig.

Among those present in the ceremonies were PNOC RC President Carlos Jose P. Gatmaitan, VP for Operations, Pete Lite and Executive Director Carlos Primo David of the recipient agency.  PNOC RC Pres. Gatmaitan mentioned that this is a continuing project as a primary program that will promote Renewable Energy and encourage others to follow, hence, the proactive promotion to the private and public institutions in support to the RE initiatives of the government. PNOC RC is dedicated and committed to pursue its mandate and support the campaign.

“It is through these kind of projects that we work on a common goal to have a clean, better and more environmental-friendly nation. We hope to move forward and work on more projects this year” said Pres. Gatmaitan.

The partnership of the Department of Science and Technology with the PNOC RC was signed last June 11, 2015 in support of the thrust of the former DOE Secretary Carlos Jericho L. Petilla which is to improve Public and Private partnerships in pursuing Renewable Energy projects such as Solar Rooftop Projects.

This is the second PNOC-RC’s Solar PV Rooftop projects which will include other government agencies such as Department of Environment and Natural Resources Envi-Management Bureau and eventually working with other government agencies.
