Project Description: |

|
The Dulangan Hydropower Project is a
run of the-river type hydropower development along Dulangan River.
It will be located in the Municipality of Baco, Oriental, Mindoro.
The project has a potential capacity
18 MW and is estimated to generate about 62 GWh of electricity per
year. |

Project Status as of July 2011: |

|
The DCCD Engineering Corporation (DCCD) was awarded the contract for
the conduct of feasibility study for Dulangan hydropower project.
DCCD conducted preliminary meetings with concerned local government
units to explain the nature and operation of the project. They are
also currently conducting an information/education campaign as a
requirement prior to issuance of ECC or ECC non-coverage. PNOC RC
had previously conducted IEC activities in November 2010 with the
Governor of Oriental Mindoro and the municipality of Baco. |
